Brooks is a display typeface that channels European roots taking reference to Florentine Old style typeface but is re-imaged in a modern yet elegant manor. Brooks is fresh but still acknowledges the he history behind its creation Its defining characteristic is its playful tapered stem and horizontal axis stress. The letter forms toy between thick and thin all within a small x- hight. A vertical elongation gives the letter forms a compressed look and a has a unique 1/3 aperture proportion exhibited within the arm of the k and tip of the r.
